A cap elevator sorts and feeds caps to a capping machine. It is customized to the cap sample. Air supply is provided by the buyer.
Caps are loaded into a hopper. A lifting belt carries them up, and caps that are not lying the right way fall back into the hopper. Correctly oriented caps slide down a chute to the capping machine, so the capper always has caps ready and nobody has to load caps by hand at the capper.
Each cap elevator is built for one cap size. The shape and weight of the cap decide how the caps are sorted and fed, so the machine is customised to a sample of the cap you will run. If the line runs several cap sizes, discuss this before the quotation.
The cap elevator runs on 220 V with adjustable speed. Compressed air is supplied by the customer. The machine is made of 201 or 304 stainless steel.
The cap elevator stands in front of the capping machine on a bottle filling line. It is usually chosen together with the capping machine it feeds, and the chute height is matched to that capper.
Send a sample of the cap, details of the capping machine it feeds, the chute height, and the site power. Confirm that compressed air is available at the site.
